The Color Palette allows you to set the colors that MandalaMaker draws with. It consists of two panels, the "Set Colors" panel and the "Colors" panel. There are two versions of the Color Palette, a large palette and a small palette. The small palette shows only the "Set Colors" panel. The "Colors" panel only appears when you click on one of the "Set Color" buttons, and is hidden as soon as you make a color selection. The large palette shows both of the panels at all times, as shown below. The small version is always used on monitors smaller than 800 X 600 pixels. If your monitor is larger, you can change between the two versions by selecting "Large Palettes" or "Small Palettes" from the Options Menu.

New - Version 1.1 adds the "Line Width" popup menu. Click on the popup to set the line width in pixels.
The "Set Colors" panel consists of three buttons and two color swatches. To set the Line or Fill color that the next shape will be drawn with, click on the appropriate button and then click on a swatch in the "Colors" panel. The current color swatch next to the button you pressed will show the color you selected. To set the Background color of the Canvas, click the "Background" button and then click on one of the swatches in the "Colors" panel. The Canvas Background will be set to the color you selected. You can change the Background color at any time without disturbing the rest of your mandala.
The "Colors" panel displays the color swatches of the current color set. The swatches on the "Colors" panel are active only after you press one of the buttons in the "Set Colors" panel. There are two color sets included with MandalaMaker, a "Standard" set and a " Web" set. The "Standard" set is shown above in the Color Palette illustration. The "Web" set is pictured below.

The "Standard" set includes a basic set of colors to start with. The "Web" set includes only so called "Web Safe" colors. These are colors which are displayable by all color monitors and any operating system. Use this color set if you intend to use your mandala on the World Wide Web.
You can add colors to the current color set or change to a different color set using the commands on the Colors Menu. You can also access these commands from a pop-up menu on the color palette. To access the pop-up, right click under Windows or Control-click under Mac OS anywhere on the background of the Color Palette. See the Colors Menu section for information on these commands.
